Warren Ross
Medical Doctor, Owner
Dr. Warren Ross is the founding member of Crossroads Medical Associates, an 11-provider primary care adult medicine group. He has created the sub-group Integrative Medicine at Crossroads to emphasize his commitment to combining the best of conventional and non-conventional health care practices in the primary care setting.
His activities in this area started in 1970 when, as a medical student, he developed a research project to investigate the effect of meditation on health outcomes in people with seizure disorders.
He studied Acupuncture in the 1970s. He came to Maryland to help start the Centre for Traditional Acupuncture (now Maryland University of Integrative Health) in 1976. He was on the faculty of the University of Maryland Family Practice Department from 1976 through 1980. During that time, he developed a course for “Holistic Medicine” (now Complementary Alternative Medicine) for medical students. This course was the first of this type at a Medical School in the United States.
He has achieved Board Certification in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, and Geriatric Medicine. His current active certification is in Internal Medicine.

Keri Connell
Licensed Nutritionist, Clinical Herbalist, and Cooking Instructor
Keri Connell, MS, LDN, IFNCP, has a master’s degree in Clinical Herbal Medicine from the Maryland University of Integrative Health, and a license in Nutrition. In 2018, she became a certified practitioner of Integrative and Functional Nutrition (IFNCP). She has been counseling the patients of Integrative Medicine at Crossroads for over 8 years on healthy eating, stress reduction, and nutritional and herbal supplementation. In September of 2015, Keri helped open the teaching kitchen and has been leading classes for patients and the public ever since.
Keri has always had a passion for food and that continues to grow with more time spent in the kitchen. She is continually delighted to hear her cooking class participants are now cooking delicious and healthy meals at home instead of relying on processed, fast foods.
When Keri isn’t counseling patients or teaching a cooking class, you can bet that she is involved in another food-related activity. She enjoys home cooking, fermenting and preserving, mushroom foraging, farmer’s markets, and traveling (a.k.a. eating) to new destinations with her chef husband.

Alexa Bedingfield
Licensed Nutritionist
Alexa is a Certified Nutrition Specialist (CNS) and a Licensed Dietitian-Nutritionist (LDN). Alexa completed her Master of Science in Nutrition and Integrative Health at Maryland University of Integrative Health (MUIH) in 2019. Since the completion of her master’s degree Alexa has continued her education in the areas of hormonal, digestive, cardiovascular, and mental health. Alexa has great enthusiasm for helping people address their health concerns in a holistic way. In addition to nutrition counseling, she works with her patients to address stress, improve sleep, and increase physical activity levels. She combines evidence-based nutrition therapy with mindful eating strategies to help her patients improve their health, nourish their bodies, and cultivate a more positive, joyful relationship with food.
When she is not helping her patients achieve an improved state of health and wellbeing, Alexa enjoys going for long walks, practicing yoga, lifting weights, exploring different cuisines, and spending time with her husband, daughter, and two cats.

Roye Evans
Acupuncturist
Roye Evans, RN, MS, LAc, brings more than twenty years of experience to her healing work as an acupuncturist and holistic nurse. She has been interested in natural medicine approaches since her childhood. Raised in the Blue Ridge Mountains, she has always been drawn to nature and its healing benefits. Roye studied Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) at Tri State College in New York City where her education included several different styles of acupuncture and diagnosis techniques. After starting her practice and witnessing the multiple benefits of acupuncture, she returned to school and became a registered nurse to provide truly integrated, holistic care. She was honored to be part of the Integrative Medicine Program at Atlantic Health Systems in NJ, where she provided care as an Integrative Nurse Coordinator and Acupuncturist. In this position, she collaborated with dedicated colleagues to create and provide complementary medicine programs for outpatient oncology and neurology patients as well as providing pain reduction and stress management care to hospitalized patients and their families.
In addition to extensive training in acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine, Roye has continued her love of complementary medicine by studying Functional Medicine, Integrative Nurse Coaching, Jin Shin Jyutsu (Japanese energy healing technique) and other mind-body modalities to help with stress management and wellness. She will be providing acupuncture and holistic nursing care to her patients at the Apothecary and looks forward to lifelong learning and love of her art.
Roye resides in Ellicott City with her husband and beloved dog. She loves music, nature, and family and spends her free time outdoors as much as possible, enjoying all the diverse beauty that Maryland has to offer.
